Opera Triple Bill – London
A triple bill of operas: Il segreto di Susanna by Ermanno Wolf-Ferrari; Zanetto by Pietro Mascagni; Rita by Gaetano Donizetti. Presented by the Guildhall School of Music & Drama at the Barbican Silk Street Theatre in times of Covid-19. Without an audience, the seating removed to make space for a socially distanced orchestra of fifty players. The production was live-streamed. Continue reading

Chimelong Safari Park is one of a cluster of leisure attractions and hotels in Guangzhou run by the Chimelong Group, it is the biggest wildlife theme park in Asia. Simon has a twenty-year association with the group since designing lighting for Night Zoo, which opened in 2000. Continue reading

Green Bird – Shanghai
A new piece of musical theatre for children based on the play written by Carlo Gozzi in 1765. The show was developed from a version of the play written by David Bridel, it was adapted by Qi Xiaoyun, with music by Wuwei. The Green Bird was supported by the Chinese National Art Foundation.
