Refurbishment and development of the sea lion gallery at Artis Zoo, Amsterdam.  

The project was to upgrade a rather dark and damp seal lion gallery in the zoo and create a stunning new venue for functions. We installed an LED lighting system in the ceiling comprising a ‘pixel map’ of over 500 fixtures – both to create a subtle underwater atmosphere for normal days in the zoo and specific lighting arrangements for various function layouts and parties.

In memory of Bart Wermuth, a brilliant technician and wonderful man who died while this project was being made.
