Night
Zoo
In 1999
I joined a team from Singapore Zoo advising Guangzhou
Panyu Xiangjiang Safari Park on a vast new night zoo in
Southern China. A mere fourteen months later: millions of
tons of earth shifted, thousands of trees planted, roads,
sewers, shops, and restaurants. Night Zoo opened in
December 2000.
The
original Night
Safari lighting concept was developed, and new
technology solutions were implemented.
The
Chime-Long Group have also built a three hundred bed hotel
and twelve thousand seat amphitheatre on the site.
