Explosion! Priddy’s Hard Naval Armament Museum, opened in 2001.  

“Housed in an historic 18th-century complex, Explosion! tells of how the British Navy developed and used weaponry through the ages – a story which revolves around the Museum’s internationally significant collections of naval armaments.” – Event

A variety of lighting approaches included – allowing daylight into galleries, refurbishing antique lighting fixtures, an extensive use of gobos, and contrasts of both colour and colour temperature. The historical location was challenging, including working in the original gunpowder store originating from 1771. Parts of the site are variously listed: Scheduled Monument; Grade I; Grade II*; and Grade II.
